State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer an eight-hour training session on the latest electrical code requirements, covering changes in the National Electrical Code (NEC) 2023. The training will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 28 in room 291 of the Fielding Technical Building on the Sedalia campus. The cost is $399 and is eligible for a Missouri One Start grant. Registrants may purchase the NEC Codebook for $200 more when they sign up.
The training is designed for electricians, contractors, and industry professionals who need to understand and apply the latest NEC updates to ensure compliance and safety. Participants will:
- Review key updates and major revisions in the 2023 NEC.
- Understand new requirements for grounding, bonding, and wiring methods.
- Ensure compliance with updated overcurrent protection and safety standards.
- Improve NEC Codebook navigation skills for quick reference.
- Apply code changes to residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
