State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce and Pettis County Industrial Safety Council will offer a free seminar that addresses common workplace hazards, safety standards and corrective actions. Participants can choose from four sessions, with courses beginning at 7 a.m. or noon, Nov. 6 or 7 at SFCC’s Energy Innovation Center, 24450 Oak Grove Lane, Sedalia.

This hands-on seminar is excellent for supervisors, team leaders, safety support units, maintenance workers and management teams. Participants will learn how to identify workstation hazards, construction versus general industry regulations, abatement strategies, best practices and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and penalties. Safety professionals will be available to answer questions before and after the seminars.

There is no cost to register, but advance registration is required because class size is limited. Early registration is recommended.
