Marketing and Communications at State Fair Community College won three awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) Districts 3 and 5 conference Oct. 1-3 in Davenport, Iowa.
The department submitted four entries and received a silver medallion for the college’s website that debuted last December (www.sfccmo.edu); a silver medallion for its basketball recruiting virtual flip book (www.sfccmo.edu/files/mens-basketball/index.html) and a bronze medallion for a short video that promoted SFCC’s performance of “Night of the Living Dead Live” (youtu.be/AoNv7IiDEZQ).
The awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges. It is the only regional competition that honors excellence among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.
SFCC’s Marketing and Communications staff are members of District 5 that includes community and technical colleges in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, the Canadian province of Manitoba, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
NCMPR has more than 1,550 members from more than 650 colleges across the United States, Canada and other countries. The counsel provides professional development opportunities, advocates on behalf of the profession and the institutions it serves, and recognizes professional excellence.
