State Fair Community College Trustee Justin Hubbs has been selected to serve on the Member Communications and Education Committee of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). 

ACCT is a non-profit organization of community college governing boards, representing more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who serve on more than 500 governing boards across the United States and beyond.  ACCT governance includes a board of directors and five committees. 

The Member Communications and Education Committee is responsible for evaluating and making recommendations to strengthen the organizations links with membership, for identifying issues that require member input, and for recommending strategies to gather input.  Additionally, they evaluate and make recommendations to strengthen current ACCT education programs and recommend additional programs that promote effective board governance through advocacy and education. 

Hubbs was elected to a six-year term on the SFCC Board in 2020 and serves as the treasurer.   A graduate of SFCC with a degree in business management, Hubbs is a broker and co-owner of United Country-Prairie Land Realty. He has more than 25 years of experience in retail business management and real estate.     

Justin is married to Hilliary and has three children: Norah, Charlotte, and Amelia. 

He has served on the SFCC Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of West Central Missouri boards of directors.
