State Fair Community College will recognize active and retired military at the Roadrunner basketball games against Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley Nov. 7 in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

All active and retired military and their families will get in free with military IDs. The Whiteman Air Force Base color guard will present the flags.

The Lady Roadrunners tip off against the Lady Scouts at 5:30 p.m. The Roadrunners play the Scouts at 7:30 p.m.

At the halftime of the men’s game, the winner of a “money war” will get a pie in the face. The candidates are Dr. Joanna Anderson, SFCC president; Dr. Brent Bates, Educational and Student Support Services vice president; Dr. Joe Gilgour, Student and Academic Support Services dean; Joren Trimble, Student Life director; Kevin Lawson, Microbiology instructor; Dr. Rhonda Hutton Gann, Allied Health associate dean; and Cara Barth-Fagan, Humanities and Social Sciences division chair and instructor. In addition, the winning tickets for a baseball signed by St. Louis Cardinals Matt Carpenter and a glove signed by Kansas City Royals Lorenzo Cain will be drawn. Both activities are SFCC fundraisers for the Sedalia-Pettis County United Way campaign.
