Sedalia, Missouri – June 29, 2021 – The LearningForce at State Fair Community College will offer a 12-hour National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E Electrical Safety workforce training from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 16, 18 and 20. The same training will be offered again Oct. 11, 13 and 15. Both sessions will be in Fielding Technical Center on the Sedalia campus.
SFCC’s The LearningForce provides customized courses in short blocks of time to provide the best possible training solutions in a timely manner throughout the year. The LearningForce also offers free consultations to help companies with environmental, health and safety needs.
The NFPA 70E standard for electrical safety in the workplace was updated in 2021. Electrical hazards are the root of countless fatalities and injuries at work. This training can help save lives and prevent injuries.
This course addresses the importance of electrical safety and provides information on arc flash, arc blast, approach boundaries, risk assessment, warning labels, and personal protective equipment. Employees who work in industries where electrical hazards are a reality will benefit from this training, such as maintenance personnel, supervisors and managers.
Topics covered include OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements, safe work environments and practices, recognizing electrical hazards and more.
Cost is $399 per person and qualifies to be covered by a company’s individual Missouri One Start grand funds. Class size is limited.
