State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer four-hour beginner and intermediate Microsoft Excel workforce training sessions on May 30 in Fielding Technical Center, room 229 on the Sedalia campus.
The Microsoft Excel Level I will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Objectives include creating and editing worksheets and workbooks, entering and moving data, using editing functions, creating simple formulas, and formatting. Participants will learn efficiency features, shortcuts, charts, and more. Requirements needed for success in this session include basic computer concepts, skills and knowledge of Windows.
The Microsoft Excel Level II will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Objectives include searching and consolidating data; inserting and removing hyperlinks; hiding and unhiding sheets, columns and rows; referencing data from another workbook; using structured references; navigating conditional, text, and financial functions; inserting and formatting objects, and more. Requirements for success in Level II training are completion of SFCC’s Microsoft Excel Level I course or foundational Excel knowledge and skills.
