Sedalia, Missouri – Sept. 1, 2022 – State Fair Community College Roadrunners Basketball Head Coach Matt Brown has announced the addition of five student-athletes to the 2022-2023 roster.
Elijah Berstein is a 6’0 point guard from Missouri City, Texas, who is from SEMO Prep. He played high school basketball at Houston Christian.
“Elijah is a good leader at the point guard position,” said Brown. “He is vocal on the floor, and I think he’ll be a good floor general for us.”
Trey Jones is a 6’3” combo guard from Little Rock, Arkansas. Jones played high school basketball at Little Rock Christian.
“Trey is a super athletic and tough player,” said Brown. “He will be as athletic as any combo guard in Region 16.”
Devon Ellis is a 6’7” guard/forward from Chicago, Illinois, who played for Link Year Prep.
“Devon can play the guard and forward positions,” said Brown. “He played in a good program at Link Year Prep. He has played against a lot of high-level players. He is very athletic and can score and will be a high-level player.”
Dalton Gayman was redshirted last season. Gayman is a 6’7” guard/forward from Nevada, Missouri.
“Dalton is a strong rebounder,” said Brown. “He is a physical player, and his maturity will add leadership to our team as well.”
Christian Finley was redshirted at SFCC last season. Finley is a 5’10” point guard who played at Smith-Cotton High School.
“Christian will bring quickness, athleticism and toughness to our program,” said Brown. “He is a local student-athlete with pride in our program. He was also a good high school football player.”
