Sedalia, Missouri – Feb. 15, 2022 – State Fair Community College is now a partner with Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a nonprofit organization that works with PreK-12 students and teachers across the United States. SFCC is one of only three institutions in Missouri and the first community college in Missouri to be accepted as a partner with PLTW.
Through PLTW, State Fair Community College is offering high school students interested in a health science pathway the opportunity to get ahead by applying to SFCC and earning biology credits that will apply to an Associate of Arts degree. SFCC is offering BIO 100 General Biology, BIO 103 Human Biology and BIO 112 General Biology with Lab.
Students who complete these courses as specified by PLTW may be eligible to receive articulated credit toward a college degree. If students meet the requirements for the course, they do not have to pay for the articulated credit.
