Sedalia, Missouri  Dec. 15, 2022 –The State Fair Community College Foundation is seeking nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award. Since 1987, SFCC has recognized an outstanding alumnus at the spring commencement, which is May 19, 2023. Anyone may submit nominations for consideration; however, to be considered for the 2023 award, nominations must be submitted by Feb. 1, 2023.

Candidates must have graduated from SFCC and be exemplary citizens who demonstrate integrity, high standing and who recognize and reflect pride in their SFCC education.

To submit nominations, complete the web form at www.sfccmo.edu/alumni and send a nomination letter to the SFCC Foundation, 3201 W. 16th St., Sedalia MO 65301. The letter should explain why the nominee merits distinguished alumni recognition. Additional materials such as articles about the nominee regarding other awards and accomplishments, and recommendation letters from others may be provided to the foundation.

Nominations are accepted throughout the year and will be retained for five years from the nomination date.  A committee reviews all nominations and selects a candidate who is recognized at SFCC’s spring commencement. The award is not granted posthumously.
