Sedalia, Missouri  July 2, 2021 –Friends and supporters have the opportunity to form teams for State Fair Community College Athletics’ 10th annual SFCC golf tournament to be held Monday, July 26, at the Sedalia Country Club, 5074 Highway Y. The popular live and silent auctions that are open to the public will be held this year. All proceeds from the tournament and auctions will benefit athletic scholarships for all teams, which include track and field, cross country, basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer.

The three-person scramble costs $100 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and lunch. Teams have a choice of an 8 a.m. or a 2 p.m. tee time. Prizes for the tournament will be Sedalia Country Club Pro Shop credit based on a full field.

The tournament is divided into four flights with awards given to the top four teams in each flight based on a full field. There also will be a putting contest for SFCC athletics gear and a hole with multiple pins.

Team entry forms should be submitted to Loel Fischer at the Sedalia Country Club; checks are payable to the SFCC Foundation.  Online registration is available at sfccmoroadrunners.com under the SUPPORT tab. Mulligans will be available for purchase at the check-in table on July 26. For additional information or assistance, call SFCC Athletics at (660) 596-7232.

“It’s so much fun to meet community members at the golf tournament and auctions,” said Talbot. “This is our 10th year for the tournament, and it just keeps getting better each year. The funds raised are very important to all of our student-athletes, and we appreciate all of the support we receive from our community.”
