Marketing and Communications promotes SFCC’s mission, priorities and initiatives; develops positive public perception of the college; drives advertising and marketing campaigns; and supports special events.
The office is responsible for media planning and buying, as well as designing and producing college advertising and collegewide publications; serving as the liaison to the news media; providing crisis and weather-related communication; providing marketing and public relations services to other college departments; managing the college’s website and portal and other online communication; maintaining and enforcing graphic standards; and overseeing internal and external permanent signage.

Members of the college community requesting Marketing and Communications services should review the services guide and complete a service request form in mySTAR > Employee > Other Campus Forms.
Advertising on campus
Off-campus organizations, groups and individuals who wish to advertise on campus should contact Marketing and Communications for the appropriate advertising venues and approvals.
Advertising or literature cannot be placed on vehicles, walls (outside or inside), windows or doors (outside or inside), tables, trash cans, restroom doors, signs, machinery, equipment, etc. Exceptions to this may include official college notices for immediate issues such as “college closed” or class cancellation notices that include specific dates.
