Social media allows SFCC to showcase its students, employees and alumni and to directly interact with prospective and current students, their families, community members, and stakeholders.
Marketing and Communications oversees and manages several social media sites that engage stakeholders and share information. SFCC’s recognized social media sites include, but are not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Official SFCC entities that have existing social media sites or would like to create one should contact Marketing and Communications to ensure the content on all college sites is consistent and follows current regulations, processes and guidelines.
Each SFCC entity with a social media site must identify an employee who has access to the account and is responsible for content and administrative responsiveness. This includes regular posting and monitoring the page and responding to comments and questions in a timely manner. Marketing and Communications staff also will serve as administrators of all pages to ensure accountability and eliminate redundancy.
