State Fair Community College (SFCC) Theatre will continue its production of "The Pavilion," written by Craig Wright and directed by Trevor Belt, with performances through Oct. 11 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus.

Described as "an Our Town for our time," the play explores love, regret, forgiveness and the consequences of choices made long ago.

The story follows Peter, who returns to his 20-year high school reunion hoping to rekindle a relationship with Kari, the woman he left behind after an unexpected pregnancy ended their relationship. However, Kari's lingering resentment, her marriage and Peter's own immaturity complicate his plans. Through encounters with former classmates and a narrator who guides the story, the two confront their past and consider the possibility of moving forward.

Remaining performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8-10 and 2 p.m. Oct. 11. A special dinner theatre experience will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10. Dinner costs $15 per person and does not include admission to the performance.

General admission tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance at SFCCTheatre.Eventbrite.com or at the door. Online purchases include a $2.18 service fee per ticket.

SFCC students, faculty, staff and retirees receive free admission by emailing tickets@sfccmo.edu.

The production is rated R and contains mature language, references to suicide, abortion and drug use, and simulated alcohol use.
