The Missouri Small Business Development Center (MOSBDC) at State Fair Community College will host the Understanding Financial Statements workshop from 1-4 p.m. June 13. The purpose of this low-cost training is to help individuals make smart business decisions. 

Participants may enroll in an in-person or Zoom (web conference) workshop for $39 per person. The on-ground session will be held in Fielding Technical Center on the SFCC-Sedalia campus, 3201 West 16th Street. The interactive workshop is ideal for people who own a small business, serve on a nonprofit board or make financial business decisions based on data. Participants will learn how to identify and understand key business information on profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Other topics covered include how to calculate and use financial ratios to make better business decisions and the difference between cash and accrual.
