Sedalia, Missouri – April 16, 2021 – The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at State Fair Community College will host, at no cost, a one-day resource workshop for military veterans who want to start up, grow, expand or plan for succession as business owners and entrepreneurs. The workshop consists of two sessions, 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12-3 p.m., on Tuesday, May 11 at the American Legion Post 624, 852 American Legion Road in Sunrise Beach. The Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments serving Camden, Laclede, Miller, and Morgan counties is co-sponsoring the event.
During the workshop, participants will visit with resource partners such as attorneys, accountants, business consultants, other military veteran business owners, and representatives in specialty fields such as government contracting and international trade. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded fellow veterans and share experiences, concerns and advice. Goodie bags that include business essentials and tools will be distributed. Complimentary breakfast, lunch and light snacks will be provided.
