Sedalia, Missouri – Dec 1, 2021 – The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at State Fair Community College will host a no-cost, three-session course on Customer Discovery: Unlocking the Mystery for Success. This training provides methods and tools that are relevant to for- and non-profits, community organizations, and small business owners and managers. Sessions will be held 6-9 p.m. on Jan. 11, 25 and Feb. 1 in Fielding Center on the SFCC Sedalia campus. Registration is limited and required to participate.
Early refinement of business strategies increases the odds for start-up and long-term success when discovery practices are diligently applied. Participants will develop a Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition to distinguish the business from competitors. They will learn how to discover customers’ problems and how to test solutions through customer interviews. Individual feedback will be provided to enhance and sharpen ideas. Participants also will learn about federal grants and other funding sources.
Participants must register for the free course at https://missouri.ecenterdirect.com/events/22995. For assistance or additional information, contact Kelly Asbury, SBDC director, at kasbury1@sfccmo.edu or (660) 596-7350, or visit sfccmo.edu/thelearningforce. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.
