Aerial robots, called drones, are becoming popular as a hobby to take pictures and videos and for business to monitor livestock and crops or market real estate. State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer an Introduction to Drones class from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Potter-Ewing Agriculture Building, Room 404, on the Sedalia campus.

Instructor Brad Driskill will offer guidance on purchasing a drone, operating it safely and Federal Aviation Administration rules for operating a drone. Participants will receive classroom instruction and hands-on practice.

Cost is $79 per person. Driskill will hold the same class in two sessions from 4-6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10. For more information and to register online, go to sfccmo.edu/the-learning-force, call (660) 530-5822 or email thelearningforce@sfccmo.edu.
