Our Mission
The State Fair Community College Foundation, a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation, was established in 1981 to raise funds to meet the needs of the college. The foundation’s mission is to support and assist the college in serving the community by providing accessible, quality educational programs and services.
The foundation’s goals are:
- To raise funds to meet college needs
- To enlist advocates for the college
- To strengthen the college image
- To protect donor rights
- To effectively manage resources
- To promote institutional flexibility
- To steward donor gifts
Ways to Give
There are many ways to give to the SFCC Foundation, all of which help the college enhance services, scholarships and opportunities for our students and the community we serve. Each year hundreds of students directly benefit from charitable contributions made by SFCC alumni and friends—individuals, corporations, foundations, and service organizations. Your gift provides hope and opportunities for the next generation of students.
Foundation Events
Each year the foundation sponsors several events, including themed fundraisers to benefit college needs; Donors and Scholars luncheons to bring together scholarship patrons and the students who benefit from their philanthropy; and Jingle on the Green, a free community holiday celebration on the Sedalia campus.
Board of Directors
An active volunteer Board of Directors oversees and works on foundation projects while ensuring the foundation remains true to its mission and goals.
