Each year State Fair Community recognizes the outstanding achievements of an SFCC graduate by presenting the Distinguished Alumni Award.
Nominees must be persons of such integrity, stature and ability that SFCC faculty, staff, students, and alumni can be inspired by their recognition. Nominees must recognize, take pride in and reflect the importance of their SFCC education.
To nominate an SFCC graduate for the award, please submit the form below and send a nomination letter explaining why the individual deserves the award to the SFCC Foundation at 3201 W. 16th Street, Sedalia MO 65301.
You are welcome to supply additional materials such as newspaper or magazine articles about the nominee, publications or other materials produced by the nominee, additional letters of recommendation, etc.
The award is presented annually at SFCC’s commencement. Nominations are accepted throughout the year. Nominees who are not selected remain in the pool for five years from the nomination date. A selection committee reviews all applications.
Distinguished Alumni Awards are not granted posthumously.
