Everette and Mary Lamm Wood recently presented $1,000 to the State Fair Community College Foundation to establish an annual scholarship for any part- or full-time student seeking a technical certificate, degree or an agriculture degree who resides in SFCC’s 14-county service area. The Woods established the scholarship because they believe education is important and know firsthand the life-changing impact a scholarship can have on a person’s future. As a Carrollton High School graduate and top agriculture student, Wood received a scholarship from a local farmer that allowed him to go to college.
