The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts program will present a free student theatre showcase at 7 p.m. May 10-11 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre in the Yeater Learning Center, Room 126, on the Sedalia campus. The public is invited.
The showcase is a collaborative project in stage voice and movement and directing classes. Three-student directed one-act plays will be presented. Admission is free, and reservations are not required. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
Performances are rated R for mature audiences. Plays include:
“Zombie Thoughts” by Jennifer A. Kokai and Oliver Grey Kokai-Means, directed by Tyler Singer, Odessa and featuring Connor Marshall, Odessa; Maryanne Henley, California, and Heather Bryson, Sedalia.
“Female Persuasion” by Rich Orloff, directed by Victoria Stowell, Sedalia, and featuring Hannahmaye Doster, Odessa; Alyce Wilson, Eldon; and Tessa Luechtfeld, Warrensburg.
“Ondine’s Curse” by Mora A. Harris, directed by Lauren Dowell, Odessa and featuring Tessa Luechtfeld, Warrensburg; Dakota Swain, Lowry City; and Regan Smith, Odessa.
Crew members include Noah Summitt, Warrensburg; Logan Scott, St. Louis; Alecia Bennett, Blue Springs; and Gavin Eichler, Lincoln.
