The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts program will present the musical comedy “Like You Like It” April 25-29 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus.
It is 1985, and the brand new Arden Mall is hosting a high school dance. Bookworm Rosalind wants to go with varsity wrestler Orlando, but she has never had the courage to talk to him. To get closer to Orlando, Rosalind hatches a plan and ends up complicating the lives of three couples as well as her relationship with Orlando.
Filled with memorable 1980s inspired tunes, this feel-good musical ends “like you like it” if you are willing to take the risk of being yourself. The performance is rated PG-13 for mild language.
Regular performances will be at 7:30 p.m. April 25-28; admission is $6. Tickets are $15 for an April 28 dinner theatre in the Goddard Gallery hallway; dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. The dinner theatre menu is available by calling the Box Office at (660) 530-5814 from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
SFCC students and employees receive free admission, and cost of the dinner theatre for them is $10. Special group rates are available for both regular performances and dinner theatre.
A matinée will be presented at 2 p.m. April 29. Anyone 60 or older will be admitted free.
