The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art at State Fair Community College invites visitors to explore its latest fall exhibitions, featuring diverse works from local and international artists that inspire reflection on nature, food, and the intricacies of human connection. The exhibits will run through winter, showcasing pieces from renowned artists and emerging voices in contemporary art. 

Consume will be available until Dec. 17. Consume places pieces from the Daum collection alongside international artworks in a thematic journey centered around food. The exhibition examines food’s role in daily life, from its creation to consumption, highlighting both the beauty and challenges of global food practices. 

Naturally, it will be available through Dec. 17. This exhibit explores the natural world, featuring landscapes and abstract reflections that evoke awe for the environment. Works in ceramic sculpture and fiber art more naturally inspire visitors to contemplate their relationship with nature. Analogous will be available until March 9. Analogous celebrates ceramics, presenting works by 12 artists whose pieces showcase the material’s transformative qualities. Through a harmonious blend of forms and colors, the exhibition reveals how clay can communicate complex themes. 

Mantra: Lifespan will be available until March 2. French artist Youri Cansell, known as Mantra, invites visitors into the delicate world of butterflies. His murals and paintings blend scientific observation with artistry, raising questions about life’s fragility and the environmental challenges faced by species today. 

Rebekah Bogard: You + Me = will be available until March 2. Immersive dreamscape by artist Rebekah Bogard, where love, loss, and friendship are explored through a surreal environment filled with symbolic imagery. Bogard, an award-winning artist and professor, creates spaces that invite personal interpretation, encouraging viewers to become part of the artwork itself.
