Below are some of the important dates for campus housing need to be aware of throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. The dates below may be subject to change.
Fall 2024
- August 17 and 18-Campus Housing opens at 10:00 am for the Move-In process.
- August 17 – Meal plans begin with weekend hours at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- August 18 – Opening night BBQ 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- August 19 – Fall 2024 semester begins (16-week and first-eight-week classes).
- August 28 – Welcome Back Bash 10:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- September 2– Labor Day (SFCC classes and offices closed)
- Brunch and dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- October 14-18 – Fall Break (SFCC class not in session; offices closed on Friday, October 18).
- Meal plan service will continue.
- November 11-Veterans Day (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Brunch and dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- November 27 through December 1– Thanksgiving Break (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, or request permission to remain in assigned room or apartment during the Break.
- No meal plan service during Break.
- December 1 – Campus Housing re-opens at 1:00 pm. Dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- December 13 – End of Fall 2024 semester/Winter Break. Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, December 13, or request permission to remain in assigned room or apartment during the Break.
- No meal plan service during Break.
Spring 2025
- January 18 and 20– Campus Housing opens at 10:00 am for the Move-In process.
- January 18 – Meal plans begin with weekend hours at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- January 20 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- January 21 – Spring 2025 semester begins (16-week and first-eight-week classes).
- February 17 – President’s Day (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Brunch and dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- March 1– Housing Application opens for next academic year.
- March 14 – National Pie day will be observed during lunch service at the Stauffacher Cafeteria and that will conclude meal service through the break.
- March 14 – Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, March 14, or request permission to remain in assigned room or apartment during Spring Break.
- March 17-21–Spring Break (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- No meal plan service during Spring Break.
- March 23– Campus Housing re-opens at 1:00 pm. Dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- April 18– Spring Holiday (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- May 16 – End of Spring 2025 semester. Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, May 16.
