This page is dedicated to informing stakeholders about the public health and safety initiatives, including COVID-19, on the campus of State Fair Community College and the communities it serves.
Face Coverings (masks)
After a lengthy and detailed deliberation that included declining infection rates, other trends across the college’s service region (and throughout the state) and other COVID-19-related data, State Fair Community College COVID-19 Response Team voted, effective Oct. 18, 2021, to end the mask mandate at all campus locations except for SFCC-Whiteman Air Force Base. SFCC-WAFB students, employees and guests are under the COVID-19 protocols set by the base administration that includes the wearing of masks at this time.
While infection rates may be declining, safety remains a priority, which is why everyone on campus is still asked to be mindful of their physical space with regards to others, continue to wash their hands thoroughly, apply hand sanitizer liberally, cough/sneeze into their elbows, and stay home if they are unsure in any way about their health or exposure to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases.
All individuals who test positive for COVID-19, are expected to self-isolate and seek medical attention per CDC recommendations.
