The Direct Connect program is a collaboration between the University of Central Missouri and State Fair Community College that allows students to establish dual enrollment at both institutions. Direct Connect is a pathway from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree with seamless transfer of college credits.

direct connectState Fair Community College Direct Connect is a dual enrollment program with the University of Central Missouri in which students can maximize their Missouri A+ monies and earn their associate degree tuition-free at State Fair Community College and take their degree and college credits with them to the University of Central Missouri.

Mascots Rowdy and MoThis program is currently open to students who meet Missouri residency requirements. Students seeking admission to the UCM/SFCC concurrent enrollment program must typically enroll full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) with courses exclusively at SFCC or at UCM and SFCC. If a student takes courses at UCM, those courses will apply toward the major the student intends to pursue once admitted as a degree-seeking UCM student.

    • Qualify for UCM’s Mule Grant that covers any tuition and general fees remaining after federal, state, institutional and private/outside grants and scholarships have been applied.
    • Earn a $1,500 Direct Connect scholarship (stackable with other UCM transfer scholarships) upon graduation from SFCC.

*Must provide proof of PTK membership.

  • Who is Eligible for Direct Connect

    Any student who is a resident of Missouri enrolled in courses at SFCC.

  • How do I get started?

    To get started, you must apply for admission at State Fair Community College. Once your application has been accepted, you will be assigned a Navigator. Tell your Navigator that you want to be a part of the Direct Connect program with UCM.

  • How many courses must I take?

    Students must be enrolled in at least 12 hours at State Fair Community College to be eligible for the Direct Connect program with the University of Central Missouri.
