When selecting a personal computer, consider mobility. Desktops are often times less expensive but do not have the mobility needed in most instances. Also think about the screen size and what can easily be carried. A mobile second monitor can be used if a larger screen is needed.
Administrative access to a PC is needed in many instances to install required software ranging from publisher software such as Adobe to proctoring software such as ExamSoft.
Cost is often times the main factor in selecting a computer. Financial Aid may help cover the cost since all programs have a computer requirement. The Financial Aid Office in Hopkins, across from IT Services, can discuss options.
