To be successful in the Construction Management Technology field, you will need knowledge and skills in science, business and management; materials, methods, codes, and regulations; reading, writing and speaking; problem solving; and computer skills to work with building plans, develop estimates, manage costs, and set schedules.

Work environments range from permanent offices to job-site offices where you can be involved in the day-to-day construction of a project, using both theory and hands-on experience.

The objective of the Construction Management Technology program is to provide the highest quality construction education possible and maintain a strong commitment to serving students, the community and the construction industry.

Occupational Outlook

Projected growth for construction management careers is strong. A wide variety of jobs is available, including construction supervisor, cost estimator, construction manager, site superintendent, and project manager. Other jobs related to construction technology include insurance adjusting, construction safety, equipment leasing, and building materials sales. Annual mean wage in Central Missouri ranges from $57,080 to $89,270.
