Did the pandemic force you to make difficult choices such as withdrawing from classes or stop attending altogether? If so, State Fair Community College wants to help.
SFCC has never been better positioned to help you with even more resources to make completing your studies as easy as possible.
Financial Assistance
Affording college has never been easier with SFCC Financial Aid. There are all kinds of financial aid programs to help you reach your goals. In fact the majority of our students who fill out a FAFSA, receive some form of financial aid. If you thought you couldn’t afford college, think again.
In addition to these financial aid programs, State Fair Community College has provided millions of dollars in direct payments to students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). Monies distributed directly to students can be used to pay off outstanding SFCC balances, enroll in new courses, purchase books, or other costs resulting from the pandemic.
Navigator (Personal Advising)
Because “Life Happens” – SFCC offers the Navigator Program. Whether your studies were interrupted due to COVID-19 or other forces outside of your control, SFCC has a Personal Student Success Navigator who will work with you one-on-one to help you plan your academic journey, stay on track for graduation and deal with obstacles along the way.
Your navigator will team up with faculty advisors and other staff to offer guidance and answer questions, like “Which program is right for me?” “What classes should I take?” and “Where can I get help if I need it?” Whatever your concerns, remember – your navigator is your go-to guide.
Student Support Services
The TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program at SFCC serves eligible students and are FREE to participants*. Qualifying students must apply and provide documentation of eligibility. Participation is limited and the SSS program is selective.
Services offered from the SSS include Success Coaches, Tutoring, and social support and is available at all SFCC campuses (Boonville, Clinton, Eldon, Lake of the Ozarks, Sedalia, Whiteman Air Force Base and online).
