Sedalia, Missouri  June 11, 2021  Two students in State Fair Community College’s Automotive Technology program, Aaron Beck of Warrensburg and Benjamin Spangler of Appleton City recently were given special recognition at their workplace for graduating with Highest Honors at the May 14 commencement. The graduates were asked what tools they needed for their work and were gifted those tools for earning Highest Honors. Beck received a Matco 10-piece Premium Screwdriver Set, and Spangler received a Matco Piston Hammer and a Pipe Wrench Plier from Snap-on Tools. The items were courtesy of Matco Tools dealer Danny Cook and SFCC instructors Matthew Clark and Matthew Karbinas.

“These two students have shown dedication and growth in technology and also as employees that goes beyond the average,” said Clark, program coordinator. “I am honored to have been part of their career path and education. Matthew Karbinas and myself were in agreement that these two students were deserving of the highest recognition to be witnessed by their peers and employers.

“As they are now colleagues in the technical field of automotive technology, we could think of no better way to honor Aaron and Ben than with these tools they can use in their careers. We appreciate Danny Cook for his assistance and for his support of our program and students at SFCC.”
