Sedalia, Missouri – State Fair Community College’s Small Business Development Center will hold three sessions on how to turn financial statements into useful management tools that lead to better business decisions. Participants can enroll in the entire series or individual sessions, and have the option to participate on the Sedalia, Clinton, Lake of the Ozarks campuses, or online using Zoom video conferencing at any location.  Cost for the entire series is $249 or $99 per session.

Making Dollars and Sense Out of your Financial Statements will be offered on SFCC’s Sedalia campus 7:30-10:30 a.m. Jan. 24. Attendees will learn to identify key financial information on profit and loss statements and balance sheets and calculate financial ratios as it relates to productivity and success. This session will be offered from 2-5 p.m. Feb. 5 at SFCC-Clinton and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks.

Cash Matters Most examines where cash is generated and used in day-to-day operations and how to identify and correct cash flow issues. This session will be offered 7:30-10:30 a.m. Jan. 31 on the Sedalia campus. Sessions will be offered 2-5 p.m. Feb. 12 at SFCC-Clinton and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks.

Planning and Predicting your Financial Path covers how to develop and use a cash budget to plan for future performance. Participants will use a cash budget to create month-by-month views, calculate break-even points and forecast sales, receivables and expenses. This session will be offered 7:30-10:30 a.m. Feb. 7 at SFCC- Sedalia; 2-5 p.m. Feb. 19 at SFCC-Clinton; and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 6 at SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks.
