Sedalia, Missouri – State Fair Community College Radiology Technology students will observe National Radiology Technology Week Nov. 3-9 to demonstrate the importance of medical imaging and radiation oncology.
As a “thank you” to the clinical instructors in the Radiology Technology program, students will take gifts and food trays to 16 clinic sites on Nov. 7. Clinical instructors provide students valuable hands-on experiences working with patients and other health care staff and in operating imaging equipment. This learning environment gives students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world situations.
The clinic sites that work with SFCC students are: Audrain Medical Center (Mexico), Bothwell Regional Health Center (Sedalia), Bates County Memorial (Butler), Carroll County Memorial (Carrollton), Cooper County Memorial (Boonville), Ellet Memorial Hospital (Appleton City), Fitzgibbon Hospital (Marshall), Golden Valley Memorial (Clinton), Harry S. Truman VA (Columbia), Hermann Area District (Hermann), Lafayette Regional Health (Lexington), Macon County Samaritan Memorial (Macon), Moberly Regional Medical Center (Moberly), Pershing Memorial (Brookfield), Western Missouri Medical Center (Warrensburg), and Women’s & Children’s Hospital (Columbia).
