State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce has expanded it Kids College offerings to include Cooking Camp (July 8-11, July 15-18) and It’s Sew Fun (July 29 to Aug. 1) on the SFCC-Boonville Kemper Campus, 701 Third Street in Boonville.
Cooking Camp will meet 9 a.m. to noon July 8-11 for students who will be in grades Kindergarten to 3 for the upcoming school year. Participants will learn kitchen skills such as how to read recipes, measure ingredients and use small appliances as they learn to prepare healthy snacks and treats. Allison Zeller is the instructor, and cost is $69.
Another Cooking Camp will be held 9 a.m. to noon July 15-18 for students who will be in grades 4-8 for the upcoming school year.
It’s Sew Fun will meet 9 a.m. to noon July 29 through Aug. 1 for students who will be in grades 4-8 for the upcoming school year. Students will learn basic sewing techniques and create hand-sewn projects such as an Emoji pillow, felt monster and scrap fabric wreath. Allison Zeller is the instructor, and cost is $69.

Are you ready to explore a tropical rainforest ecosystem? Come learn about the layers in the forest, creatures that live there, sing songs, and play fun jungle games. Exploring the Titanic
Get ready to set sail on the Titanic! Follow the sea vessel through the course of building, science behind it and then get ready to board and become a passenger! Students will be actively involved in activities and learn about the passenger classes on board. Kids will research identities and become a passenger- Let’s set sail!
