State Fair Community College will celebrate homecoming Feb. 16 at the Roadrunner basketball games against the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus. The Lady Roadrunners will play at 5:30 p.m. and the Roadrunners game will start after homecoming royalty is announced.
“The Greatest Homecoming” is this year’s theme as SFCC observes its 50th anniversary. The SFCC Chamber Choir will sing the national anthem at 5:30 p.m. There will be a free drawing for Roadrunner basketball 2019-2020 season tickets and Roadrunner swag. Student clubs and organizations will display banners created for the celebration. Specially designed homecoming T-shirts can be purchased for $10 cash that night or in the Campus Store the week prior to homecoming.
The SFCC Booster Club will provide free refreshments to alumni in the Davis Center, Room 163. Former SFCC student-athletes will be recognized throughout the evening.
At halftime of the women’s game, members of the 1998 women’s team will be recognized and honored for reaching the National Junior College Athletic Association national tournament that season. Homecoming royalty, elected by the student body, will be crowned between the games. The Spirit Squad and squad alumni will perform during halftime of the men’s game.
