Fans of music and stories from the Ozark hill country are in for a treat when Missourian Marideth Sisco performs at the third Summer Nights at the Daum at 6 p.m. July 26 in the Stauffacher Theatre on State Fair Community College’s Sedalia campus. The event is free.
Sisco is a retired journalist whose music was featured in the 2010 award-winning film “Winter’s Bone” that starred Jennifer Lawrence. She has shared her down-home tales of the Missouri Ozarks for diverse audiences across the country. Guitarist Linda Stoffel will accompany Sisco.
The final Summer Nights at the Daum is scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 23. Members of SpoFest will present an evening of spoken word and music from area poets, writers and musicians.
Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
