Three State Fair Community College Radiologic Technology students placed seventh in the nation at HOSA’s 40th Annual International Leadership Conference, June 21-24 in Orlando, Florida.
First-year Radiologic Technology students Sarah McCoy, Knob Noster, and Bailey Yeater and Lakota Wiskur, Sedalia, competed as a team in Creative Problem Solving.
Dr. Rhonda Hutton Gann, associate dean of Allied Health, is SFCC’s chapter advisor; she accompanied the students to the conference. More than 7,500 competitors competed in one of HOSA’s 57 health-related competitive events.
HOSA is an international student organization that promotes career opportunities in the health care industry and enhances the delivery of quality health care to all people. Missouri HOSA has 90 chapters with 3,634 student and professional members. There were more than 10,000 students, advisors, government and private sector leaders, judges, and guests who attended this year’s international conference.
