Offices on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus will close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 for Career Day. Day classes will be canceled, but classes that start at 5 p.m. or later will be held.
Career Day is an opportunity for students in grades 8-11 to explore careers in Arts and Communication, Human Services, Business Management and Technology, Health Services, and Industrial and Engineering Technology.
Students can participate in interactive activities with professionals in each career field. About 1,500 high school students have registered to attend along with counselors and chaperones.
The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art and the State Fair Career and Technology Center will be open regular hours.
