Current Arts Season
There’s always something artistically amazing happening on campus! Our Current Arts Season features plays and music concerts in the fall, followed by a spring semester filled with great plays, concerts, recitals, and a new Daum exhibition. We’ll close out the year with our annual Student Art Show, Student Theatre Showcase and Musical Retrospect. Join us!
Daum Museum of Contemporary Art
The world-renowned Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on campus features a diverse permanent collection and offers three exhibition cycles each year and up to 15 exhibitions.
Support the Arts
The Arts entertain and enlighten; they spark innovation and creativity; and they improve academic performance. For these reasons and a host of others, we invite you to support the Arts at SFCC. Contributing is easy, and genuinely appreciated.
Performing Arts Auditions
We offer scholarships in all our fine and performing arts programs. These scholarships are open to high school seniors, transfer students, majors, and nonmajors. You are welcome to audition for multiple programs. To learn how to be considered for a scholarship and to schedule an audition, visit performing arts auditions.
SFCC Theatre is pleased to present our last mainstage of the 2024-2025 Theatre Season...ALICE BY HEART!
Book by Steven Sater & Jessie Nelson
Music by Duncan Sheik
Lyrics by Steven Sater
Directed by Kristen Henning
“In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. As they travel through the tale, Alice by Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This musical encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times.” - Music Theatre International

SFCC Theatre is pleased to present our penultimate mainstage of the 2024-2025 Theatre Season...THE GROWN-UPS by Skylar Fox & Simon Henriques!
The Grown-Ups
By Skylar Fox & Simon Henriques
Directed by Ben Brewer (Guest Director, SFCC Theatre Alum 2021)
“The campers are all finally asleep, and the lake is getting quiet. Have a beer; make a s’more; tell a scary story. Figure out what you’re going to have to do in the morning to keep camp fun and safe without letting the kids find out about... well, you’ve seen the news. I just got a push notification—they’re getting closer. Following a group of camp counselors trying to mold the leaders of tomorrow when tomorrow is looking bleaker and bleaker, The Grown-Ups explores the traditions that change us, what it takes for us to change them, and how to change yourself when you’re hopelessly, tragically not prepared for this.” - Concord Theatricals

SFCC Theatre is pleased to present our second mainstage of the 2024-2025 Theatre Season...Agatha Christie’s THE MOUSETRAP!
The Mousetrap
By Agatha Christie
Directed by Tim Wells
“After a local woman is murdered, the guests and staff at Monkswell Manor find themselves stranded during a snowstorm. It soon becomes clear that the killer is among them, and the seven strangers grow increasingly suspicious of one another. A police detective, arriving on skis, interrogates the suspects: the newlyweds running the house; a spinster with a curious background; an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef; a retired Army major; a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift; and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. When a second murder takes place, tensions and fears escalate.”

Each day this week we’ll be announcing the 2024-2025 SFCC Theatre Season!! Drumroll..........
Our first mainstage of the season..........MACBITCHES by Sophie McIntosh!
“When a freshman is unexpectedly given the coveted role of Lady Macbeth, a few upperclassmen actresses invite her over to “celebrate” her casting and reassert their positions at the top of the theatre department’s hierarchy. As the Fireball and Svedka flow, the girls interrogate their own sense of ambition as well as the power structures that have shaped their theatrical education.” - TRWPlays
