Career and Technical Student Organizations
As part of the regular curriculum at State Fair CTC, three student organizations have been formed.
FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America), as part of the Child Care Careers program
FFA, (Future Farmers of America), part of the Agriculture Education program
SkillsUSA, part of the Automotive Service Technology, Building Trades, Computers/Electronics, Graphic Arts, Health Occupation, Machine Tool Technology, and Welding Technology programs.
Membership in an organization is not mandatory; however, students are strongly encouraged to participate since club activities are an intregral part of each training program. The activities of each of the three organizations are designed to produce well-rounded individuals with the following goals in mind:
- Personal growth and self-confidence
- Leadership and cooperation
- Respect for work and career development
- Community understanding and patriotism
No qualified student shall be denied membership or full participation in any State Fair CTC student organization on the basis of race, sex, religion, disability or handicap, age, marital status, or national origin.
