Child Care Careers

Prepare for a career in elementary education or employment in a day care facility.  Learn about early childhood development, health and safety, nutrition, childcare regulations, adaptations for special needs students, and working with families.  Students develop curriculum that address birth to twelve years of age.  Hands-on experience is gained through local elementary schools, head start programs, and day care centers.  Foundation instruction is provided toward obtaining Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
