40th Anniversary Events

Sept. 12, 10:30 a.m.
Dedication of the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center, followed by tours of the center and birthday cupcakes for all community members.

Sept. 16-18
Birthday parties at extended campus sites at the Lake of the Ozarks, Whiteman Air Force Base and Clinton with appearances from current and former SFCC presidents

Nov. 22
Come back to your roots for Homecoming 2008 in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center. 

5:30 p.m. • Women’s game
Former homecoming royalty recognized at halftime
 
6:30 p.m. • Alumni reception
An alumni reception will be held in the Kempton Room in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center at the end of the women’s game. Alumni and family members are invited to stop by for refreshments. The first 300 alumni will receive an SFCC 40th anniversary tumbler, car cling and pompom provided by the Student Government Association and the Spirit Squad.
 
7:30 p.m. • Men’s game
Spirit Squad performs 40th anniversary cheer
 
9 p.m. • Harvest Blue
Classic rock band, Harvest Blue, performs
 

Dec. 4, 6 p.m.
Jingle on the Green
A community lighting ceremony featuring 1,000 luminarias and the SFCC holiday tree. Come stroll the campus and take in the lights while listening to carolers and sipping hot chocolate. Then, enjoy the holiday music concert presented by the Music Arts program at 7 p.m. in the Stauffacher Theatre. (Admission for this concert is free. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be reserved by calling (660) 530-5814 or by sending an e-mail to tickets@sfccmo.edu.)

An exhibition of winning artwork from previous student art shows. Opening reception is at 1-5 p.m. Feb. 7.

Sweetheart Gala

Run for Your Wife
Feb. 18-21, 7:30 p.m.; Feb. 21, 6 p.m. dinner theater and celebration; Feb. 22, 2 p.m., free senior matinee, Staffaucher Theatre

SFCC Theatre Arts presents this vintage production directed by Ron Wineinger, retired theater faculty member. Wineinger directed the play when it first appeared on the SFCC stage in 1990.
